About the Company

The trivago Innovation Center in Israel is looking for a hands-on, experienced Financial Controller to join our team and take full ownership of the company’s financial operations in Israel, while working closely with global finance teams as part of a publicly traded international group.

This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who enjoys taking on responsibility, end-to-end ownership, and working in a dynamic, fast-growing tech environment.

About the Role

Own end-to-end financial operations and reporting, lead monthly and annual close processes, and ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management, oversee the revenue cycle, and ensure SOX compliance while partnering closely with global teams to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reconciliation of income funds from processing companies, including in-depth analysis of processing fees, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper reflection in the company’s financial records
• Own and manage the company’s revenue cycle, including revenue recognition and transaction-level profitability analysis
• Oversee all accounting operations of the company’s subsidiaries, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and tax compliance
• Ensure full compliance with internal reporting requirements, financial regulations, and US GAAP
• Maintain high standards of quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Work cross-functionally to optimize business processes to achieve the Company’s KPI

Qualifications and Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in the high-tech industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Big 4 CPA
• Working for NASDAQ-traded companies - an advantage
• SOX Compliance experience.
• Experience in the tech industry, working in a high-growth state of mind
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and extensive accounting expertise in areas such as revenue recognition.
• Must be team-oriented and able to fulfill and adapt to internal and external requests
• Strong written and verbal and written communication skills (Hebrew & English) to facilitate the effective writing of internal and external documents and to facilitate decisions and achieve results.
• Proactive and organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and highly motivated to contribute to the success of the company
• High level of English (read, write, talk)
• Proficient in MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems (Priority).
