Position Overview

You will architect a flexible Stripe setup that lets Product run pricing experiments at the speed of thought. You will also lock down onboarding with modern auth (passkeys, WebAuthn, SSO, MFA) and bolt in the usage meters that protect margins on Vertex AI and BigQuery. Expect plenty of room to run and zero red tape.

Compensation

This is a co-founder-level opportunity, offering equity (about 1 percent of the company) based on your contribution and commitment. It can be more for absolute badasses. Platform payment capabilities are live, so we are actively transitioning into revenue. Salaries are expected to follow once revenue and funding milestones are met (target Q3). The Right Person

• Stripe black-belt: Billing, Checkout, Customer Portal, Tax, metered and hybrid pricing
• 5+ years full-stack in React, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, comfortable with CSS polish
• Proven record wiring usage caps and cost guardrails around API-heavy products
• Hands-on with secure auth flows: passkeys, WebAuthn, OAuth, magic links, SSO, MFA
• Startup DNA: ship fast, document clearly, own the outcome

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a Stripe architecture that supports seat, usage, and hybrid plans
• Implement metering and soft caps for AI calls and data scans, with clear user feedback
• Build and secure onboarding, billing settings, and self-serve upgrades in app
• Instrument analytics for conversion, churn, and margin so the numbers are always visible
• Own CI/CD on GCP and keep the billing stack bullet-proof in production

Requirements

• 5+ years professional full-stack development (MERN or similar)
• 3+ years running Stripe Billing for a SaaS product at scale
• Deep experience with webhooks, subscription migrations, and add-on gating
• Strong grasp of cloud services (GCP preferred) and cost-containment tactics
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vertex or Gemini, BigQuery, or similar AI and data stacks
• Prior work designing pricing A/B tests or growth analytics
• Background in high-growth or zero-to-one product environments
