SquadTrip is on a mission to connect people through group travel experiences. Our software enables travel advisors to sell more and save time facilitating group trips for everything from destination weddings to professional wellness retreats.
SquadTrip is a fast-growing travel software company with a mission to revolutionize the travel industry through group travel. We are seeking a creative and passionate community engagement manager. This role is essential to our mission of building and engaging a community of travel enthusiasts and professionals to enable them to build the biggest travel community in the world.
As a Community Engagement Manager, your focus will be on engaging our audience of customers on multiple mediums, including email, online events such as webinars and Twitter spaces, and a Slack community we will create to engage with them. Community Engagement Pillars:
Building a strong online community: You will prioritize building a community of travel agents and travel influencers through social media platforms, online forums, and other relevant channels. This community would serve as a hub for sharing knowledge, tips, and best practices.
Providing valuable content: To drive engagement, you should focus on providing valuable and relevant content that meets the needs and interests of our community members. This could include blog posts, webinars, video tutorials, and other educational resources.
Encouraging user-generated content: You should work to encourage the creation and sharing of user-generated content, such as success stories, case studies, and product reviews. This would help to build social proof and encourage engagement and loyalty among our community members.
Facilitating offline events: To foster strong relationships and a sense of community among our members, you should also focus on facilitating offline events such as meetups, conferences, and workshops. These events would provide opportunities for members to network, learn, and share their experiences.
Soliciting feedback and insights: Finally, you should prioritize gathering feedback and insights from our community members to better understand their needs and preferences. This would help us to improve our products, services, and community engagement efforts over time.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a community engagement plan that addresses all 5 pillars above.
Responsible for execution of content strategies including a monthly webinar series and weekly office hours.
Manage and engage with our online community, and ensure that they have a positive and engaging experience.
Monitor trends and analyze data to optimize engagement strategies and tactics.
Work cross-functionally with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to align community engagement initiatives with company objectives.
Create and maintain a calendar of community events and activities, and coordinate logistics for in-person events.
Develop and implement a social media advocacy program to empower our community to share SquadTrip's message with their networks.
Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and insights from our community.
Write blog posts and other content to showcase our community's stories and experiences.
Develop and implement a referral program to encourage our community to refer new members to the SquadTrip community.
Develop and maintain relationships with travel industry associations, groups, and media outlets to stay up to date with industry trends and to promote SquadTrip.
Work closely with Customer Support to respond to inquiries from the community.
Provide reporting on community engagement initiatives and their effectiveness to the Executive Team.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in community engagement, social media management, or related fields
Demonstrated experience in growing and engaging an audience through email campaigns, live chats, Twitter spaces, or webinars.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
Passion for travel and the ability to speak knowledgeably about the industry.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Willing to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Willing to join a startup as the 3rd full time employee with potential for equity.
You'll be joining as a paid intern for 4 months. If this role works well for both parties, we will extend a full-time offer.

We provide ongoing learning and professional development, dorm/apartment-based housing during the summer, cover costs associated with travel to and from Tulsa, and plenty of networking opportunities! In the past two cycles, we have between 20-30 Summer Atenterns - this year we look to grow that number to 25-35. The below descriptions and programmatic details are based on our needs and experiences from previous years and are subject to change as new/different needs/circumstances arise.
Logistics
• Time Frame: May through July 2023. This is an in-person Atenternship and applicants must be available for the duration of the program.
• Housing: Having a tight-knit culture is important to us so we pay for and arrange dorm-style housing through our partnership with the University of Tulsa for the duration of the session.

• Travel to Tulsa: We pay for and arrange for domestic flights to and from Tulsa and reimburse for up to $500 for cost of non-air travel.

This is the compensation for our Atentern program:
$15/hr for high school graduates
$18/hr for those currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
$22/hr for young professionals with BA or equivalent
$27/hr for those currently enrolled in a Master’s program
$31/hr for those with Phds

$500 flight reimbursement for internship program.

If the job converts to full time, you will get a generous healthcare package paid 100% by the company, unlimited PTO, equity compensation, and up to $10,000 assistance relocating to Tulsa, OK.
