As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Squadtrip, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for translating our organizational vision into actionable strategies. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to drive operational excellence and guide the company toward surpassing its sales, profitability, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Visionary Collaboration and Strategic Translation: Collaborate closely with the CEO to refine and communicate the organizational vision. Translate this vision into clear and actionable operational strategies that guide the company's direction and growth trajectory. Your role involves aligning all departments and teams with this overarching vision.
  • Goal Setting, Performance Management, and Operational Planning: Implement a robust framework for goal setting and performance management across the organization. Develop strategies to cascade company-wide goals down to specific teams and individuals, ensuring that each employee's efforts align with the broader objectives. Lead the annual operating planning process to ensure all initiatives align with strategic priorities.
  • Operational Excellence and Inclusive Culture: Foster an inclusive and empowering company culture where team members are motivated and engaged. Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruiting top talent to effective onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention strategies. Your role involves creating an environment that nurtures growth, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Streamlining Operations and Enhancing Efficiency: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance organizational efficiency. Collaborate closely with department heads to analyze existing processes, introduce best practices, and encourage cross-functional collaboration. Your efforts will contribute to a more agile and productive company ecosystem.
  • Tech Infrastructure Enhancement: Lead critical tech infrastructure projects, such as coordinating the migration from Google Drive to OneDrive. Additionally, optimize Software as a Service (SaaS) subscriptions to enhance data management, security, and collaboration across the organization.
  • Growth Strategy and Execution: Drive the company towards achieving and exceeding sales, profitability, and business goals. Develop, communicate, and implement effective growth strategies that align with the company's vision. By analyzing market trends and competitive landscapes, you'll guide the company to seize opportunities and navigate challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Lead and oversee cross-functional projects that contribute to the company's overarching goals. Define project scopes, objectives, and timelines, and coordinate diverse teams for successful project execution. Your role involves monitoring progress, identifying obstacles, and devising solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Leadership Meeting Facilitation: Organize and lead leadership meetings, curating agendas and preparing materials to facilitate strategic discussions. Your ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to internal and external stakeholders will be critical in driving decision-making processes.
  • Special Projects and Risk Mitigation: Take charge of special projects assigned by the executive team, ensuring their completion while managing multiple stakeholders. Your expertise in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies will be essential in ensuring the success of these initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Insights and Collaborative Growth: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze performance metrics and provide valuable insights to inform growth strategies. Collaborate closely with heads of Engineering, Product, and Growth to ensure cross-functional alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Vision and Fractional CFO Oversight: Collaborate with the CEO to refine and execute the company's strategic vision. Leverage your analytical skills to conduct thorough research and analysis, providing valuable insights that shape the company's long-term direction. Oversee the Fractional CFO and track their progress, tasks, and resource needs to ensure financial objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management, communication, data analytics, CRM, and financial software.
  • Familiarity with the startup landscape and emerging trends.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Certifications in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or related fields.
  • An unwavering determination to excel, a penchant for decisive action, and a knack for critical thinking.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
