Squid iQ team members have access to exceptional benefits, including:

  • A critical mission that directly impacts patients, their care teams and the communities they serve
  • A goal-focused team and a culture of accountability, autonomy and trust
  • An opportunity to work in a demanding, entrepreneurial environment that will accelerate your professional and leadership development
  • A flexible work schedule
  • 100% remote work
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Career coaching and professional development

Our Customers

SQUID supports medical centers with 200 staffed beds or more and scales to serve integrated delivery networks (IDN’s) of any size. Hospitals are typically the largest employers in the communities they serve, have varied constituencies, complex operations, thin contribution margins and are burdened by unfunded regulatory mandates that require significant taxpayer subsidies. IDN’s have been slow to innovate and digitize (outside of electronic medical records), are often functionally siloed and reliant on manual processes that generate unreliable data.

As a result, hospitals are inefficient, wasteful and over-capitalized. Due to intensifying financial, strategic and regulatory challenges amplified by the recent Covid pandemic, the hospital business model is stressed and must evolve. Top IDN priorities include reducing non-labor operating expenses and improving care delivery quality. SQUID helps IDN’s achieve these objectives.

What you will do...

  • Lead product development from conception to launch, using qualitative and quantitative metrics to calibrate progress and evaluate success against key metrics.
  • Assess core customer HTUM needs and priorities, often helping them sort through issues and requirements they had not clearly defined previously.
  • Partner with leadership team to develop product strategy, vision and use cases with customers using internal and external analysis that informs the creation of specific features and functionality for each IDN persona SQUID supports.
  • Distill business and user requirements to develop detailed, crisp user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture requirements.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet commercial, technical or strategic goals.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision, both internally and with key external partners.
  • Manage platform development prioritization and highlight trade-offs across customer experience, system performance and operational support requirements.
  • Help determine the implementation sequence of SQUID’s service for each customer.
  • Document, manage and enhance product roadmap and technical specs for the service delivery platform.
  • Build, expand and manage a product team to support company growth.

What you bring...

  • 5+ years of enterprise software product management experience.
  • Successful record of product development, delivery and management of innovative, scalable solutions for demanding enterprise customers in complex, dynamic markets.
  • Reputation for thoughtful, user-focused product insights and uncovering trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Keen tactical perspective and can effectively represent and synthesize ideas crisply for teammates and customers with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams in a highly demanding, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Accountability for contributing to a culture of empowerment, learning, teaching and personal growth.
  • Passion for revolutionizing healthcare delivery with particular focus on frontline caregivers and support staff.
