• Founding Engineer: Be our first engineering hire. You'll work directly with the co-founders and have a foundational impact on our technology, product, and culture.

Who You Are

• A Platform Visionary: You love building the engine, not just the car. You think in terms of scalable systems, clean APIs, and robust infrastructure that empower other developers.
• A Product-Minded Builder: You start with the "why"—understanding customer needs and the product vision—before architecting a solution. You have deep user empathy and are passionate about shaping the product, not just implementing specs. Prior experience in a product-focused role is a significant plus.
• A Cloud & Backend Expert: You have deep, hands-on experience building, deploying, and scaling backend services (ideally in Python) on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP is great).
• An Infrastructure Automator: You live and breathe Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). Designing a rock-solid CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, and elegant deployment systems is second nature.
• A Pragmatic Builder: You masterfully balance technical elegance with go-to-market speed. You can debate trade-offs passionately but commit fully once a decision is made.
• A Proactive Owner: You don't wait for tickets. You identify problems, architect creative solutions, and rally the team to execute. You have an insatiable drive to get things done.
• An AI-Augmented Coder: You see tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude as essential force multipliers in your workflow, helping you build better, faster.

What You'll Be Doing

• Architect Our Core SDK: This is your #1 mission. You will own the entire lifecycle of the developer-facing SDK that enables customers to integrate our AI Twins into their websites, apps, and platforms.
• Build the Self-Service Platform: Own the core backend and infrastructure for our AI-driven dashboard, allowing customers to seamlessly onboard and manage their AI Twins.
• Master Our Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement a scalable, secure, and automated production environment on Azure using IaC, CI/CD, and robust observability tooling.
• Lead a Database Redesign: Play a key role in architecting V2 of our data model for greater efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Be a Strategic Partner: Act as a key technical advisor, shaping our technical roadmap and making critical decisions on infrastructure, scalability, and platform architecture.

The Essentials

• Proven experience building and scaling backend systems in Python.
• Deep expertise with a major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience designing and building APIs or, ideally, developer-facing SDKs.
• Comfort working across the stack and a solid understanding of how front-end applications interact with backend systems.
• Must be based in a timezone within the U.S./Americas.
