Synack is seeking a strategic and results-oriented leader to manage our Public Sector Technical Account Management (TAM) team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and leading a team of high-performing TAMs dedicated to our Federal, SLED, and DIB clients. You will serve as a key advocate for our customers, ensuring they achieve their security objectives and realize maximum value from Synack's premier security testing platform.

This is a player-coach role for a leader who is passionate about both developing people and driving operational excellence. You will foster a strong partnership with our Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and drive exceptional results. Here’s what you'll achieve

  • Drive World-Class Customer Retention: You will own the health of our Public Sector customer portfolio, proactively identifying risks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our clients succeed.
  • Build and Develop a High-Performing Team: You will recruit, hire, and onboard new TAMs, and establish a continuous education program to elevate the skills and capabilities of the entire team.
  • Become a Trusted Advisor: You will personally cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at our most strategic Public Sector accounts, solidifying Synack's position as an indispensable security partner.
  • Implement and Refine Operational Processes: You will design and execute scalable processes for the team, including improving how we manage customer Test Plans, driving adoption of platform integrations, and inspecting testing outcomes to deliver better results.
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: You will take ownership of projects that improve the entire global TAM organization, creating playbooks and assets that benefit teams beyond your own.

Here’s what you’ll bring

  • A proven track record of leading and developing technical, customer-facing teams (e.g., Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services).
  • Deep empathy for the customer and a passion for understanding their mission and challenges, ideally with experience in the Public Sector (Federal, SLED, or DIB).
  • Exceptional planning and process-management skills; you know how to build systems that scale.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage with both technical practitioners and senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • A collaborative spirit and a history of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

$140,000 - $170,000

The range listed represents a reasonable estimate of the on target earnings for this role based on national salary averages. Salary offered to a successful candidate is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, role related education and skills. The compensation package for this position may also include equity and benefits.
