Who We AreTasso is a fast-growing Seattle-based startup that delivers at-home diagnostic testing to those who need it most. Tasso was founded to find a better way to collect blood than a painful fingerstick or time-consuming venous draw. Since then, our products have been used in pharmaceutical clinical trials, by Olympians as part of a new virtual anti-doping program, and broadly by hospital systems across the US. We are growing our footprint with leading health systems, clinical research organizations, academic medical centers, and more who are looking to deliver clinical-grade, convenient diagnostic tests to their patients.We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to support new product introductions and DFx activities to support quality, efficiency, and cost objectives for Tasso’s blood collection devices. You Will:
  • Interfaces with manufacturing engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
  • Supports product manufacture and assembly of developmental and clinical units on a Pilot Line.
  • Pilot line setup and routine maintenance.
  • Analyze and solve pilot line issues.
  • Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Interfaces with production staff and manufacturing
  • Review, identify and implement process improvements to support yield and demand
  • Develop and setup testing to support engineering activities related to DFx and returned device issues.
  • Write and execute test protocols
  • Designs and implements new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products.
  • Performs engineering testing, tool qualifications and process validations.
  • As needed, supports other departments on manufacturing engineering related functions (i.e. production, inspections, methods, qualifications, validations)
You Are:
  • 2+ years of experience in medical device industry (regulated environment)
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools
  • Comfortable trouble shooting mechanical equipment both Semi and Fully automated
  • Basic knowledge of assembly challenges for mechanical/electro-mechanical devices and molded components
  • Basic electrical assembly experience: PCBA, Crimping, Soldering.
  • Good Documentation Practices and device manufacturing in cGMP environment
  • ISO13485 and ISO14971 experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Capable of supporting and driving small projects
  • Perform basic documentation with Microsoft office software
