With a store in Covent Garden in London and a showroom in New York, we attract customers to our in person consultation experience. We’re now looking for someone with aspirations in developing their sales capabilities in bespoke jewellery by growing their way in the business. The RoleA Taylor & Hart Jewellery Retail Assistant is the face of the company, providing customers with an industry leading consultation experience. They are rapidly building up their knowledge in 3D design, jewellery, diamonds and gemstones, and the company’s processes and policies by assisting the sales team. While the role will have customer interactions in after care, walk-ins, wedding ring consultations (and when ready, engagement ring consultations), the main responsibility of the role is to help the wider sales and retail (includes after care) teams. There is no individual sales target, and the longer-term goal is to be on track to become a full Design Consultant within 12-24 months. Main responsibilities include: inviting and welcoming customers to the store; assisting in qualifying walk-ins; supporting visual merchandising; conducting wedding ring (and eventually engagement ring) consultations; ensuring products are displayed correctly; processing sales efficiently; assisting with aftercare services; supporting opening/closing procedures and shop floor walks; following store policies and procedures; understanding loss prevention and health and safety; and providing support to the wider sales team. Required experience: experience in fine jewellery is a must; ideally with experience in customer-centric roles (retail or in sales).
