Overview: Taylor & Hart is a bespoke jeweller seeking a Retail Assistant to support the sales and retail teams while building knowledge in 3D design, jewellery, diamonds, gemstones and company processes. The role includes customer interactions in aftercare, walk‑ins and wedding ring consultations (and, when ready, engagement ring consultations). No individual sales target; long‑term goal is to become a full Design Consultant within 12–24 months. Main responsibilities: invite and welcome customers; qualify walk‑ins; support visual merchandising; conduct consultations; ensure correct product display; process in‑store sales; assist aftercare bookings; support opening/closing procedures and shop floor walks; follow store policies; understand loss prevention and health & safety; support the wider team; phone customers to confirm attendance; inspire customers and use open questions; educate on products and policies; collaborate with sales team; navigate key systems; ensure complete and accurate information. Required experience: experience in fine jewellery; ideally experience in customer‑centric roles (retail or sales).
