Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

At the moment, we are looking for freelancers based in Nauru/Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Niue, Tonga, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, Maldives, Bhutan to join us for a new, remote project.

We have partnered with a globally known streaming app that is launching their services in your region in the very near future. Our aim is to test out the app on a variety of devices to make sure real world users will have a smooth experience from day 1! Even if you do not have software testing experience, if you have experience using streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, or others, you can definitely join this project to give us your honest feedback from a user perspective.

We will ask you to use our client’s app, following instructions that we will prepare in advance. Here are some of the things you will be asked to do. If you find any issues, you’ll be asked to carefully detail your experience:

✔ Subscription purchase & account creation
✔ Real money payment flow validation
✔ Functional & UI testing across key platforms
✔ Playback & content access behavior
✔ Localization & regional experience validation

We are planning on doing these tests on 2 dates:

• February 9th for the Pre-launch
• March 26th for the Launch of the app

We will also have some preparatory tasks for you ahead of these dates, to make sure you are fully prepared to participate. The first step is to create your Testlio freelancer account, through which you will access the task list and instructions during the pre-launch and launch dates.

Requirements

• Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
• Availability: You have to be available on these dates. The exact hours are yet to be determined, but we will try to work around your schedule as much as possible:

  • March 26th
    • Additionally, you need a little bit of time to set up your Testlio account. This can take anywhere between 10-30 minutes. It is not a difficult process.
• Devices & System requirements: Our client will launch a streaming app similar to Netflix in your region. We want to ensure that this app will work as expected for all users on various devices. You need to have at least 1 device from this list. The more devices you have, the more you can work and earn with us!

• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow.
  • We have a preparatory course that will teach you more about how to test on our website.

What does testing look like?

• Type of testing: Localization and functional testing.
• Type of work: short-term, freelance.
• Pay rate: $30 USD / h.
  • Want to earn more? If you refer friends who fit the requirements, and they participate in both testing dates, you will be awarded an additional $25 per referred friend. We are more so interested in referring freelancers who own smart TVs (Samsung / Vidaa / Phillips) or Fire TVs.
• Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
