Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across all work sites.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety violations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training sessions and ensure all employees are informed of safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote safety awareness and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry safety standards and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in safety management, occupational health, or related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training and presentations effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment as directed
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma / GED, required
- Completed Associates / Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- Prefer 1+ years of experience in this position or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.
- Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
