💼 Experience:
- 4+ years in product marketing (preferably in SaaS)
- Overall 5-6 years in content, branding, and marketing
To be successful as a product marketing manager, you must have excellent time management skills. A good product
marketing manager will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Becoming familiar with company products.
Identifying key features in products that will appeal to customers.
Working with the marketing department to develop marketing campaigns for each product.
Researching trending keywords and marketing innovations.
Planning product launches.
Studying analytics relating to product campaigns.
Developing product positioning and messaging strategies
Creating marketing materials and sales collateral to support product launches
Conducting market research and competitor analysis
Collaborating with the product team on product roadmap and features
Planning and execution of marketing campaigns to drive product adoption
Conducting market research and analyzing customer needs and preferences for an effective go-to-
market strategy and establishing strategic buyer personas
Developing product positioning, messaging, and product strategies that resonate with the new
product and the target market
Creating compelling marketing collateral, including product presentations, whitepapers, case
studies, and sales enablement materials that showcase product features and their value proposition
Planning and executing product launches and promotional marketing campaigns
Collaborating with the product team throughout the product lifecycle to align the product
development roadmap with marketing activities
Monitoring and analyzing product performance, market trends, and competitor activities to
identify opportunities and make data-driven recommendations for product improvements
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including messaging,
positioning, and pricing.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends, and use insights to
inform product development and marketing decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and creative, to
ensure alignment and successful product launches.
Create and manage marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media,
and advertising, to drive product awareness and adoption.
Analyze and report on key performance metrics, such as conversion rates and customer acquisition
costs, to optimize marketing campaigns and inform future strategies.
Develop and maintain product collateral, such as sales decks and product sheets, to support sales
efforts and educate customers on product features and benefits.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape, and use insights to inform product
