Towntalk (Techstars 2022) is an AI company leveraging data to power companies providing services in high growth sectors across Africa, by improving their ability to make effective risk-based decisions. These businesses lose income and are operationally inefficient due to a lack of both location and behavioural data. So, Towntalk offers its AI-powered data infrastructure to power security, logistics and agriculture companies in Africa. For example, insurance companies in Nigeria lose over 70% of premium collected from Goods in Transit Insurance to claims, which are mostly fraudulent. Our data infrastructure provides insurance companies with the visibility required on their clients' operations to better price premiums and reduce chance of these claims. Noteworthy, our data infrastructure is currently powered by over 320K datapoints of "hard to collect" security data, traffic conditions, road conditions, weather and many other types of data that impact both safety and mobility.
