This is a high-impact role for a senior sales professional who can open doors, build durable relationships, guide prospects through technical demonstration and qualification, and deliver meaningful revenue expansion.

Continuum’s metal powder solutions give customers a compelling alternative to prime metal sources—offering performance benefits, alloy flexibility, supply chain resilience, and significant decarbonization advantages. The Sales Director will play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategy, influencing segment priorities, and building repeatable pathways for scale as Continuum grows.

The ideal candidate is expected to travel domestically, regularly, as part of their role.

Own and grow US revenue

  • Lead the full commercial cycle: prospecting, opportunity shaping, technical engagement, qualification, negotiation, close, and expansion.
  • Develop and execute territory/account plans that consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Lead deal structuring and negotiations to ensure contracts close on time and within established revenue goals, margin thresholds, and strategic pricing guidance.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and CRM discipline (Salesforce.com); provide clear visibility to leadership.

Drive new customer acquisition

  • Identify market whitespace and high-potential targets across the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) ecosystem, with a focus on service bureaus and contract manufacturers.
  • Build compelling value propositions tied to customer pain points in cost, lead time, quality, and sustainability.
  • Secure customer trials, pilots, and first-article approvals that convert into recurring production volume.

Lead strategic account development

  • Build executive-level relationships within key accounts and partner organizations.
  • Establish Continuum as a preferred powder supplier and long-term innovation partner.
  • Develop strategic growth plans for priority accounts, including multi-site or multi-program adoption.

Enable technical adoption and qualification

  • Partner with applications engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and qualification support.
  • Translate technical performance into commercial outcomes for stakeholders across engineering, sourcing, and leadership.
  • Remove adoption barriers and accelerate approval timelines.

Represent Continuum externally

  • Build Continuum’s market presence through customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to inform pricing, product roadmap, and positioning.

What Success Looks like:

  • Generate and convert a robust qualified pipeline across targeted strategic segments.
  • Win multiple new approvals and recurring revenue streams.
  • Consistently close opportunities within established revenue targets, margin requirements, and strategic pricing guidance.
  • Position Continuum as a market-leading sustainable powder partner in key accounts.
  • Build repeatable commercial/technical qualification pathways that scale nationally.

Required and Preferred Experience and Skills

Required

  • Demonstrated success in senior B2B sales roles (new business + account growth) in advanced materials, additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy, or adjacent industrial technologies.
  • Proven ability to navigate long, technical sales cycles involving trials, qualification, and multi-stakeholder decision processes.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-shaping capability with a track record of closing high-value opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred

  • Deep knowledge of metal powders and/or their use in advanced manufacturing applications.
  • Experience selling into aerospace, defense, space, medical, energy, or other regulated/high-performance sectors with formal qualification requirements.
  • Existing relationships with AM OEMs, prime contractors, service bureaus, or materials procurement leaders (e.g., SpaceX, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Blue Origin, Stryker, or similar).
  • CRM proficiency, particularly Salesforce.com

Desired Candidate qualities:

  • Strategic, high-ownership self-starter with strong commercial instincts.
  • Comfortable building structure in scaling environments and operating with urgency.
