The UK team

We are currently searching for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and highly analytical VP of Finance and Operations to join our growing team and to support our Chief Financial Officer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to step into a pivotal role within our global tech company. The right candidate will embody the energy, focus, and skillset necessary to manage and further improve our financial and strategic operations.

The candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing new financial initiatives to help the company grow. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in strategy, operations, finance, and aspects of growth management. The individual will have exposure to high-level strategic decisions and will have the opportunity to work directly with our growth-focused and tech-oriented co-founders.

Responsibilities:
• Support the CFO in managing all financial and operational aspects of the company, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with various departments in operational matters, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including partners, investors, and regulators.
• Conduct detailed market research and analysis to inform strategy and decision making.
• Participate in important negotiations with potential and existing partners, ensuring the company's interests are always prioritized.
• Work closely with the CFO on strategic projects, ranging from product development initiatives to growth strategies.
• Contribute to improving the company's operational efficiency, seeking to optimize resources and reduce costs where possible.
• Participate in the development of business strategies, using data and analytics to drive decision making.
• Provide timely reports to the CFO on the status of various projects, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, preferably in investment banking, consulting or a fast-paced, growing company. Experience in a tech company is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, metrics, and financial modelling.
• Experience in negotiations, partnership development, and stakeholder management.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity to interact at all levels of the organization.
• A proactive problem-solver, with a record of improving operational efficiency.
• Ability to handle a high-stress environment and to meet stringent deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
