The UK team

We’ve got people all over the world, but London is where our executives are based. Key Responsibilities:

• Handle general corporate legal and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, providing expert advice and guidance on relevant legal matters.
• Work directly with the CEO and CFO, providing legal insights and support for strategic decision-making.
• Provide legal support for our growth team, managing our legal template base and advising on outbound sales contracts and related enquiries.
• Review inbound agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance and protecting company interests.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including maintaining our IP portfolio and handling both inbound and outbound IP litigation.
• Assist with entity set-up, compliance and onboarding processes, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, particularly with banking, financial, and regulatory entities.
• Be in control of internal and external facing policies and procedures.
• Liaise with and manage relationships with external legal advisors, ensuring effective and efficient legal support.
• Handle commercial disputes, representing the company's interests in any legal proceedings.
• Provide hands-on, comprehensive legal services all the way to the Board level, as a key member of a lean team.

Qualifications:

• Qualified legal professional with 3-5 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Demonstrated experience in a legal role with a top-tier legal firm, preferably in a technology or high-growth business environment.
• Strong understanding of UK and US contract law.
• Experience in fundraising and capital markets is desirable.
• Ability to work independently as a one-person team, while also collaborating effectively with various departments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external advisors.

Education:

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• Additional qualifications or certifications in corporate law, IP law, or related fields would be advantageous.
