Hello!
My name is Dmitry, and I lead the Data Engineering team at TradingView. With the growing number of users, the load on our services is increasing as well. We are looking for an experienced data engineer to participate in projects focused on the development of our data platform.

We maintain and develop infrastructure for extracting, processing, loading, monitoring, and visualizing product and financial data.
Our users include TradingView executives who need reports for decision-making, deep analytics experts, ML engineers, and product teams. In fact, all product subdivisions of TradingView are consumers of the data we provide.

Key Metrics:

Over 500GB of raw Clickstream data daily

Over 500GB of raw Operational Data daily

More than 500 data marts

More than 10 types of data sources

Note: We do not deal with collecting stock or currency quotes for building charts or with information about trading events on stock exchanges.

This role assumes a high degree of autonomy and independence while also requiring close collaboration with Data Engineers, analysts, ML engineers, and developers.

How You’ll Drive Success 🏆

• Maintain and develop Airflow DAGs
• Optimize and develop SQL queries for data marts
• Maintain and enhance data platform infrastructure
• Develop dbt models and port existing data marts to dbt models
• Design, develop, and test ETL/ELT processes
• Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) studies with subsequent presentation and production implementation
• Participate in architectural decision-making for the data platform
• Document the technical aspects of the completed work

What makes you the perfect fit 🤝

• 4-5 years of experience as a data enginee
• Proficient in Python, especially for writing Airflow DAGs
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, reading query execution plans, and improving query performance
• Experience with Apache Airflow and pipeline design principles
• Experience with dbt
• Familiarity with MPP (Massive Parallel Processing) databases (e.g., Redshift, Greenplum, Vertica)
• Confident Linux user
• Ability to clearly formulate technical specifications and defend technical decisions
• Skills in selecting the right technology for specific tasks

It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in:

• Finance experience or knowledge of Trading
• Knowledge of TradingView 😁 We also love users who become teammates!
