About the team

Hi there!
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Team Lead to help grow and lead one of our key engineering teams.

In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders (often engineers from other departments), design resilient and distributed architectures, translate business requirements into clear technical tasks, conduct code reviews, and continuously improve the product. You will still write code, of course — but it won’t be the main focus of the role.

Responsibilities

• Own the product from a technical perspective: analyze and validate incoming feature requests, translate them into concrete technical and product requirements, and ensure alignment with business goals

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and timely delivery of features

• Work closely with the Project Manager to align technical solutions with product strategy and delivery timelines

• Participate in hiring processes: conduct technical interviews and support new hires during onboarding

• Oversee the design and development of backend and frontend components with a strong focus on architectural consistency and team collaboration

• Perform code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

• Run regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and support team growth and development

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to establish efficient release processes and configure CI/CD pipelines

What makes you the perfect fit

• 6+ years of experience in backend development

• 2+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead (architecture, team motivation, and growth)

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Solid understanding of distributed systems design patterns and network protocols

• Clear understanding of the full software development lifecycle

• Strong backend development skills in Go

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)

• Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases

• Hands-on experience designing APIs and microservice architectures

• English proficiency at B1 level or higher

• Strong command of Russian is required
