About the team

The Astra team is responsible for the development and support of Paper Trading, The Leap, and Replay Trading. We develop Paper Trading, a virtual broker that helps millions of users learn trading mechanics, explore financial instruments, and practice strategies. We also build and maintain The Leap, an international trading competitions platform where traders from around the world compete, learn, and improve their skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new Virtual Trading features for the Trading Terminal and Trading Competitions platform

• Estimate tasks, define technical requirements, and contribute to architectural decisions

• Proactively suggest product and technical improvements

• Write clean, maintainable code supported by documentation and automated tests

• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers

• Share knowledge and support teammates through code reviews and discussions

What makes you the perfect fit

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript

• Proficiency in TypeScript

• Solid experience with React and modern frontend development practices

• Good understanding of OOP principles and design patterns

• Experience with frontend testing (unit, integration, E2E)

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

• Self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Will be a plus

• Experience in finance or trading domain

• Familiarity with TradingView as a product
