Our marketplace curates experiences that are rooted in culture, conservation, and care, starting with our pilot in Hawaiʻi.

Role OverviewWe’re seeking a hands-on marketer to lead, own, and execute our marketing efforts from strategy to social posts. You’ll be responsible for building our brand on social, growing our community, and driving awareness and engagement across all channels.
This role requires someone who thrives in an early stage startup, loves experimentation, is both deeply creative and data-informed, and passionate about sustainable travel. You’ll be an early leader shaping how the world perceives Travaras — and by extension, regenerative travel.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning
- Develop and own Travaras’ full-funnel marketing strategy (brand, content, community, growth)
- Set quarterly OKRs and KPIs for marketing performance in alignment with company goals
- Identify and prioritize channels for growth based on brand alignment and reach (and in the future, ROI)
- Conduct audits of existing marketing efforts and competitor positioning
- Create or oversee creation of engaging and educational content across identified relevant channels (i.e. IG, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.)
- Own content calendar, storytelling themes, and content strategy with a strong brand voice
- Identify, manage, and collaborate with content creators and microinfluencers to produce UGC
- Collaborate with Chief Brand Officer on seasonal campaigns and story-driven product launches
- Identify and integrate relevant trends into content strategy
- Lead community engagement across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, travel forums)
- Actively engage with followers, reply to comments/messages, and build relationships with our early adopter base
- Identify and manage micro-influencer and creator partnerships that align with our brand
- Test and evolve our approach to growing an authentic, loyal community
- Identify relevant blogs, newsletters, and podcasts to engage with and reach out to pitch
- Set up and manage reporting processes (e.g., monthly dashboards for engagement, traffic, conversions)
- Analyze content and campaign performance and translate insights into action
- Run small-scale experiments to test creative, messaging, and formats
- Recommend tools or platforms to streamline tracking, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Must-Haves
- 3-5 years in marketing, with proven experience building and executing brand/content/social strategies
- Exceptional writer and communicator; able to adapt tone and message across platforms
- Demonstrated success in growing and engaging communities online
- Hands-on and resourceful — willing to write, post, analyze, and engage day-to-day
- Deep passion for travel, sustainability, and supporting local communities
- Strong sense of ownership, from strategic thinking to rolling your sleeves up and getting shit done
- Experience managing influencer partnerships, content creators, or junior staff (interns)
- Familiarity with basic marketing tools (Google Analytics, Meta/IG Insights, email platforms, Canva or similar)
- Experience at an early-stage startup or mission-driven brand
- Ability to own content creation from copywriting to design
- Familiarity with TikTok trends and creator economy
- Background or strong interest in impact storytelling, journalism, and regenerative practices
- Travaras has a consistent brand voice and publishing rhythm across identified social channels
- First creator/influencer partnership is launched
- Organic audience is growing with meaningful engagement
- A clear reporting system is in place to track and optimize performance
- Community feels heard, inspired, and connected to the Travaras mission
- Monthly Retainer: $3,000/month (flexible based on scope, with potential for performance-based increases)
