About Treet Treet helps apparel brands be more sustainable and own the secondhand market for the items they produce by launching their own official peer-to-peer (P2P) resale marketplace. The Problems 1) The resale market is growing 21x faster than retail, but apparel brands are missing out on hundreds of millions in potential revenue and a powerful new way to engage their customers. 2) Apparel brands do not have the means to build a full resale program in-house and are skeptical to host resale on their main website. 3) The fashion industry is a leading contributor of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide and fashion brands are under immense pressure to be more sustainable. The Solution Treet provides a fully-branded and official resale marketplace where a fashion brand's customers can buy and sell their used items from each other in a trusted environment. Our integration with the brand's site pulls in product and customer data, allowing us to create the best secondhand shopping and selling experience online. Brands help launch and promote their Marketplaces while Treet handles all of the logistics, from customer support to disbursements and product authentication. The Opportunity BCG predicts the $40B secondhand fashion market will have a 15-20% compound annual growth rate globally over the next four to five years. Participating in secondhand shopping will be commonplace for e-commerce brands around the world and Treet will be the engine that powers this growth. The Model Treet takes 10% from each transaction and Sellers can redeem their funds as store credit back to the brand or a lesser value in cash. Traction In our first month, we launched with three pilot brands and have four going live in the coming weeks.
