About the Role

Twelve Labs is at the forefront of video AI technology, transforming how businesses understand and utilize their video data by leveraging our multimodal video foundation models. Our Go-to-Market (GTM) team is dedicated to driving the adoption of these powerful models by helping customers power use cases.

As the Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in our GTM efforts and ecosystem strategy in the APAC region. This is a unique opportunity to shape and execute the partnership and revenue strategy at Twelve Labs, ensuring our continued success and leadership in the industry. The Director of Business Development will consolidate strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution, driving growth and innovation in the APAC market.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Develop and execute the APAC Go-to-Market strategy, including market entry plans for regions for Korea and beyond.

  • Identify high-potential markets, verticals, and strategic opportunities to drive long-term growth.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, ecosystem partners, and government bodies.

  • Actively manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.

  • Conduct customer meetings, technical demos (in collaboration with Solutions Architects), and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.

  • Represent Twelve Labs at key industry events, conferences, and meetings, positioning the brand as a leader in multimodal video understanding and VLMs.

  • Collaborate with global teams to align business development efforts with product roadmaps and marketing strategies.

  • Track and report on business development and sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize outcomes.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have:

  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within AI, SaaS, or enterprise tech markets.

  • Proven track record of scaling revenue and building strategic partnerships in APAC markets.

  • Expertise in core verticals such as Media and Entertainment, Sports, and Security—including smart city surveillance, defense, and government agencies.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate high-level vision into actionable plans.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a well-established network in the APAC region.

  • Hands-on sales acumen with the ability to manage complex sales cycles.

  • Deep curiosity and creative problem-solving abilities, balanced with data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, where you learn and iterate quickly to find the right path to success.

  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, presentations, and industry events.
