Type W automates the process of aggregating sell-through (end customer sales) data. We go into retailer online portals to grab point-of-sale and inventory data, store the data using cloud-based infrastructure, and provide it to brands over a software platform in real-time. Further, we allow third-party service providers to easily connect to the Type W infrastructure using APIs to be able to connect to existing business intelligence and visualization tools. Utilizing this data, we create tools using machine learning and other algorithms to provide insights into automatic alerts for supply chain (out-of-stock, overstock etc.) as well as impacts of the inputs of the business (marketing spend, product placement, point-of-purchase displays, end-caps etc.). This information provides a clear picture of the drivers that directly affect sales. All of this will transform the way the retail industry exchanges sales data between retailer and brand.
