As UptimeHealth continues to scale rapidly across dental and medical markets, we are seeking a seasoned Controller to own and evolve our financial operations. This role will be instrumental in building scalable, tech-forward accounting infrastructure, leveraging tools such as NetSuite ERP and emerging AI-powered finance and reporting solutions to support growth, visibility, and operational excellence.

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and further development of internal control policies and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with deep NetSuite expertise, a strong SaaS financial background, and hands-on experience with AI-enabled finance automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and tax compliance.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and optimize our NetSuite ERP system; ensure accuracy of data and system integration across departments.
• Develop and maintain scalable internal controls and accounting policies as the company grows.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with FP&A.
• Monitor key SaaS financial metrics (e.g., ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and provide strategic insights to executive leadership.
• Implement and leverage AI-powered accounting and finance tools to streamline workflows, enhance reporting, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure financial alignment across the business.
• Support audits, tax filings, and compliance activities in collaboration with external partners.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
• Prior experience in a SaaS environment, with a deep understanding of subscription billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and key SaaS metrics.
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite ERP (multi-entity is a plus).
• Demonstrated experience implementing or utilizing AI/ML tools for finance operations (e.g., AI-driven reconciliation, predictive forecasting, expense management automation).
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of building scalable financial systems and processes in high-growth environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with tools like Gemini, Vertex AI, Google AI Studio, and various tools within Google Workspace and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in accounting workflows.
• Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, and M&A due diligence.
