The Role

We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join the Toronto office. In this role, you will guide a team of developers while remaining hands-on with technical delivery. You’ll mentor engineers, ensure best practices are followed, and play a key role in scaling reliable and high-performance solutions used by global restaurant groups and e-commerce brands.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend and backend engineers, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Oversee the design and development of features, ensuring code quality, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define technical solutions.
• Remain hands-on in coding (frontend, backend, or both) while providing guidance on architecture and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while balancing technical excellence and business needs.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering (frontend, backend, or full stack), with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and cloud-based environments.
• Backend expertise with Python and cloud platforms.
• Frontend expertise with JavaScript (React) and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance individual contribution and team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Work Environment

This position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the downtown Toronto office. It’s an opportunity to work closely with a high-impact team while making meaningful contributions to global-scale solutions in B2B SaaS.
