WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a technical leader who has evolved beyond traditional software development into an AI-native engineering leader. You’re an exceptional code reviewer and technical editor, with the communication and leadership skills needed to guide a small team of experienced, high-performing engineers.

You’ve spent several years building, launching, and operating software in production—ideally games or other high-concurrency consumer products. You understand what happens once software is live: outages, exploits, major events, frequent updates, technical debt, and the challenges of supporting millions of unpredictable users.

You still have a strong technical understanding of the code, but your greatest impact now comes through architecture, technical judgment, leadership, and orchestration. You use AI agents to accelerate development, testing, and deployment, and you’re particularly skilled at evaluating, refining, and improving the code they produce.

We’re especially interested in entrepreneurial engineers who have succeeded in small, fast-moving organizations, while also having enough experience to introduce strong engineering discipline and operational rigor.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 2–6+ years of experience building and operating production software outside of a founder role, ideally involving live games or high-concurrency consumer products.

• Experience leading or technically directing teams of 3–10 engineers through releases, incidents, security exploits, and ongoing live operations.

• Strong Luau/Lua and React/Roact expertise; Roblox experience is strongly preferred.

• Excellent systems architecture skills across client/server applications, remote services, cloud APIs, backend systems, and data pipelines.

• Strong familiarity with Roblox infrastructure and Open Cloud is a significant advantage.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with AI-native engineering workflows, actively using coding agents and multiple AI models to build production software.

• Ability to design and orchestrate AI-agent workflows, deliberately selecting models, tools, and approaches rather than using AI simply as an autocomplete tool.

• A proven track record of shipping production features or products built with AI agents, beyond prototypes or experiments.

• Exceptional code and commit review skills, with the ability to quickly identify architectural flaws, bugs, security vulnerabilities, and low-quality or AI-generated code.

• Comfortable spending significantly more time directing, reviewing, debugging, and improving AI-generated code than writing code manually.

• Highly curious and adaptable when it comes to new technologies and tools. You’re willing to replace established workflows when a better approach emerges.
