Vartega is opening an internship opportunity to assist our engineering team while providing an engineering student with a development/experience opportunity. The engineering intern will report to the VP of Engineering or delegate and support continuous improvement efforts for the operations, plastics, and R&D teams, document work, and develop solutions to technical challenges.

Role and Responsibilities

• Documenting projects in task software and technical reports.
• Developing design narratives, bills of material, and requests for proposals to source manufacturing solutions.
• Specify new systems and improve existing equipment to reduce maintenance downtime and equipment failures.
• Manage change in compliance with our ISO procedures.
• Troubleshooting equipment problems independently and as part of a team.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Current student in an engineering or related technical field.
• A safety-focused and collaborative mindset.
• Self-motivated, persistent, attentive to detail, and well-organized.
• Agile and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products.
• Experience using Google Workspace.

Desired Education and Skills

• Experience with Autodesk CAD programs (Autodesk, inventor, fusion 360, factory design)
• Excellent written communication skills.
