About the Role
As a Data Analyst for the Driver Marketplace, you'll be embedded in our Decision Intelligence team and work as a direct partner to the Driver Marketplace team. You will be a key operational analyst, responsible for empowering better and more data-informed decisions that directly impact our driver supply and route profitability.
You will support stakeholders by building performant data tables, creating insightful reports, and ensuring the business has the data it needs to react quickly to market dynamics. This role is a critical bridge between the data and the business, requiring strong technical skills and excellent communication to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for your partners. We often work across a suite of tools (DBT, Fivetran, Metabase, Hex) and programming languages (most notably SQL and Python). You will also participate in an on-call rotation with the marketplace team to provide real-time data support for operational decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the Driver Marketplace team to gather requirements for dashboards, reports, and analyses.
- Building and maintaining reliable, efficient, and accurate dashboards to inform operational decision-making.
- Writing clean, performant SQL to build singular data tables that support broader analytics.
- Analyzing and evaluating the business impact of experiments, such as Route Offer Adjustments (ROAs).
- Participating in an on-call rotation to support the PrepOps team with timely data needed to manage the marketplace.
- Ensuring data quality and integrity through the application of analytics best practices.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2-3+ years of experience in a data analyst or operations analyst role.
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to translate technical concepts and data-driven insights to non-technical partners.
- SQL & Dashboarding: Powerful SQL skills and hands-on experience with BI and dashboarding tools (e.g., Metabase, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
- Data Warehousing: Experience working with a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Technical Versatility: Experience using Python for data analysis.
- Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous start-up environment.
Nice to Haves:
- A background in an operational, logistics, or marketplace-focused role.
- Experience supporting Machine Learning or Data Science teams.
