About Veho

Veho’s mission is to power the future of commerce by making shopping, shipping and returns seamless for everyone.
We are building a modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure designed entirely for the ever-evolving needs of ecommerce brands and everyday consumers.
Powered by next-generation technology and a vertically integrated supply chain, Veho gives brands and their customers unprecedented control over their deliveries and removes the pain from the ecommerce post-purchase experience. We make delivery the ‘extension of the brand’ and leverage it to create deeper loyalty and trust between brands and their customers, driving customer retention and lifetime value. Our rapidly growing client list includes leading consumer brands like Hello Fresh, Zara, Macy’s, Sephora, and more.
To truly build an iconic company, we strongly believe that our people and values must be aligned with our mission. As such, we take pride in our championship team, merit-based culture. We seek team players who want to compete, win, make an impact and build a legacy, and we reward performance and impact players with generous equity and incredible career growth opportunities.
About The Role
As Director of Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and MHE Automation, you will own Veho’s ‘system of motion’ across our warehouse network. This is a Director-level (People Leader) role, reporting to the VP Product, First & Middle Mile.
Your core purpose is to define world-class operating processes, engineered standards, facility layouts, and MHE/automation integrations that are executed in the physical world. This role is crucial for driving key unit economics and operational metrics, including Cost per Package, Throughput, Cycle Time, and Quality. You will lead a pod of Process Engineers and an MHE Automation SME, partnering tightly with Product (system of record) and Ground Operations (execution) to ensure successful implementation and adoption on the floor. This role requires significant time in warehouses, including night operations, especially in the initial 90 days.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • You will define and own end-to-end warehouse workflows that maximize throughput, efficiency, quality, and operator clarity. You will set Industrial Engineering standards across the network, including engineered labor rates, time studies, productivity benchmarks, and capacity models that establish what “great” looks like for every process path.
  • You will be the driving force behind a culture of ongoing experimentation, establishing the necessary forums and cadence for engagement with stakeholders. This includes designing experiments, owning the execution details (location, measurements), and collaborating with business intelligence to ensure desired results are achieved. Your role is to bring essential structure to the innovation process.
  • You will design and standardize facility layouts that enable scalable, high-performance execution, including travel paths, staging and loading design, slotting strategies, congestion reduction, and flow optimization. You will lead MHE and automation strategy, from selection and pilot through integration, rollout, uptime, and ROI validation.
  • You will own operational rollout and enablement, including readiness criteria, training alignment, success metrics, rollback plans, and post-launch stabilization. You will ship real workflow and tooling improvements quickly, often without waiting on developers, leveraging AI, rapid prototyping, and builder resources to remove operator friction fast.
  • You will build forcing functions that increase urgency and execution speed across operations while maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will consistently iterate on high-impact, fast wins in both process and technology to improve outcomes for frontline teams.
What a Great Candidate Looks Like:
  • You started in the physical world. You have worked in warehouses, fulfillment centers, manufacturing floors, plants, or other real-world operations where throughput, labor, layout, safety, and reliability matter. You understand flow because you have lived it.
  • At some point, you pivoted into tech. You have built or led technical products, platforms, or systems that moved real business metrics. You are fluent in both physical execution and software-driven systems, and you know how to translate floor reality into scalable technical and process solutions.
  • You are a builder, not just a delegator. You can code, prototype, or use AI tools to ship solutions yourself, and you expect your team to move with similar velocity. You do not wait for perfect alignment. You make calls, execute, learn, and iterate.
  • You are an exceptional communicator with high judgment and ownership, coupled with a low tolerance for bureaucracy. You operate with speed while ensuring operational integrity. You are grounded in the details, earning credibility with operators by deeply understanding their challenges. This closeness allows you to design workflows that are simple, practical, and resilient under real-world conditions.
  • You want real accountability. You want your work to show up in cost curves, throughput charts, uptime metrics, and operator experience, not just decks.
  • You possess the ability to build, lead, and maintain a high-performing team.
Preferred (but Not Required):
  • Experience integrating warehouse automation or MHE at scale, including vendor management and reliability ownership.
  • Experience in ecommerce fulfillment, last-mile logistics, 3PL networks, or high-velocity manufacturing.
  • Experience operating in both startups and scaled organizations, especially through periods of rapid growth.
  • Experience leading multi-site rollouts with strong change management, training discipline, and rollback readiness.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $205,000
  • Equity: Generous ownership package aligned with Veho’s commitment to shared success
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); inclusive work environment.
  • PTO: Flexible paid time off policy.
  • Location: Based in Dallas, TX or Phillidephia, PA. Hybrid work arrangement with 50% site travel.
  • Relocation: No
  • H1B sponsorship: No
