The Team and Role

  • Gem engineers work closely with product managers and designers to influence product direction, company roadmap, and business outcomes.
  • We stay close to customers by joining customer calls, and reading customer feedback.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Own product features end-to-end alongside your product manager, engineering manager and designer.
  • Work primarily with Typescript, React, Python, GraphQL, Node, PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with engineers on your team and across Gem on code reviews, data model, architecture, and product decisions.
  • Stay close to our customers.
  • Embody our company values of ownership, velocity, customer centricity, diversity and transparency.
  • Influence decisions and have direct impact on business outcomes.

About You

  • You have industry experience as a software engineer, building user-facing products.
  • You move with velocity and invest in improving your craft.
  • You are good at driving solutions by communicating and working cross-functionally.
  • You are energized by collaborating in-office with your peers.
