- Pressure-test priorities, develop briefs, and ensure the team is working on what matters most
- Bring strong written communication skills to messaging, briefs, and internal materials
- Represent marketing priorities credibly across the organization with minimal oversight
- Design and implement AI-powered workflows that meaningfully accelerate content production and campaign execution
- Redesign marketing workflows around AI capabilities and drive adoption across the team
- Build a content production system that turns ideas, conversations, and raw thinking into polished outputs across formats; research reports, customer stories, thought leadership, campaign briefs, and more
- Raise AI fluency across the team as a genuine differentiator
- 10+ years spanning marketing, strategy, growth, or operations in fast-moving environments
- Hands-on, active use of AI tools in a professional marketing or strategy context, not just familiarity, but fluency
- Experience working directly with or as a VP or CMO
- Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred (Series B–D environments); examples include Brex, Rippling, Figma, Notion, HubSpot, Duolingo, or Clay
- Builder: proven ability to take vague, ambitious ideas and produce a concrete plan with owners, timelines, and follow-through
- AI executor: has built AI-powered systems and has a point of view on where AI drives real leverage vs. noise
- Exceptional writer: drafts crisp, persuasive content across formats with minimal editing required
- Cross-functional orchestrator: strong at translating strategy into coordinated action across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Systems thinker: designs operating infrastructure that brings repeatability to fast-moving work
- High agency: self-directed, proactive, biased toward action without needing constant guidance
