About Veho
- Lead Veho’s Safety program across the network of warehouses.
- Create, build, implement and hold teams accountable to safety initiatives, existing and new.
- Assist, plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Cross-functional support on all new business initiatives, facilities, and clients. Using your subject matter expertise to advise on safety decisions.
- Owner of fire life safety across the network of warehouses, local, state and federal.
- Conduct safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action and implement follow-up assessments.
- Lead Veho’s Injury and Incident Prevention Plan (IIPP), manage all injuries with warehouse leadership and injured individuals.
- Oversight of operational near misses with a safety impact, leading through the corrective action.
- Owner of Workers Compensation Claims (WC), working closely with WC adjusters, providers, and brokers.
- Collaborate with leadership on site-specific Emergency Action Plans.
- Build a comprehensive weather notification framework to mitigate risk in the warehouse, on the road and to the business.
- Oversight on physical security infrastructure, not limited to access control, closed-circuit television and mobile storage.
- Establish safety programs to include but not limited to: recognition, training, standard operating procedures, employee engagement and communication, ergonomics, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct investigations on risk, theft, property damage, integrity and business disruptions.
- Lead Power Industrial Truck (PIT) program to include training, certification, de-certification and accidents.
- Create vendor/visitor rules and regulations for all non-Veho guests.
- Collaborate with Temp Agencies to proactively train temp employees, hold them accountable to Veho’s Safety Accountability Guidelines, and work through reported injuries.
- Embraces AI as a force multiplier, uses AI to move faster, build, and think bigger.
- Minimum of 7 years of working with multi-site responsibilities in safety, security and asset protection.
- Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Understanding of local, state and federal rules, regulations and laws.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, cross-functional partnership.
- High sense of urgency with a flexible schedule tending to business needs.
- Works well under pressure and crisis management.
- Communication skills, written and verbal are essential. Confidence in training.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with a high degree of autonomy in an ambiguous environment.
- Skills in metric tracking, data analytics and strategy.
- Self-motivated, growth mindset, and willingness to pivot quickly.
- Experience coaching peers, leaders and business partners, sharing feedback, growth opportunities and recognition.
- Willingness to learn and be comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- On-site in our Philadelphia market with the ability to travel as needed for the business.
