Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather detailed requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for automation and process improvement projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple industries, with a focus on financial services, to deliver impactful process improvements and automation solutions.
- Leverage process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) to identify and rectify pain points in client businesses.
- Manage the full lifecycle of business process improvement and automation projects, from initial scoping to design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Partner with client IT teams, developers, and business units to ensure alignment on technical requirements, feasibility, and overall project objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout project execution.
- Utilize SQL for data querying, database structure analysis, and creating stored procedures to support automation and reporting needs.
- Develop and deploy automation solutions with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Excel (including advanced formulas and VBA), and other relevant tools.
- Leverage Power BI and Tableau (where applicable) for data visualization and insights to support continuous process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process mapping and documentation, ensuring all workflows are well-documented for knowledge transfer and scalability.
- Provide training and support to users on new processes and automation solutions, ensuring smooth adoption and long-term success.
- Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Power Platform and process automation trends to continually enhance the value delivered to clients.
What will it take to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel (including VBA), and Power BI is essential.
- Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow and application development.
- Experience with Tableau is an asset.
- Familiarity with banking or financial services environments is an asset.
- Product management and RFP/RFSQ procurement experience is an asset.
