Job Description

The Regional Sales Director will start as an individual sales contributor to an assigned region, with a goal to gain market footprint and progressively build a commercial team as success materializes. He/she will lead our revenue generation and business development efforts for a territory (e.g. North America, UK & Nordic Countries, Central & Eastern Europe), report to the Chief Commercial Officer, and be in charge of growing Veracity Protocol’s footprint in the region, covering all aspects of the sales process as well as building strong indirect channel partnerships.

Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of solid experience selling innovative and transformative SaaS, platform-based solutions as well as a proven network of prospects, customers, and partners in a selected territory. The ideal candidate will join us with a proven track record at developing new business and selling solutions in a new technology space especially around Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Blockchain & NFT, Machine Learning (ML/AI), and Computer Vision. Moreover, the candidate will demonstrate a customer-centric mindset through a strong mix of business domain expertise in sectors such as Luxury Goods & Apparel, CPG/FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Machine Building, or Toys as well as soft skills needed for a solution-oriented sales leader.
He/she should be a highly autonomous, hands-on individual used to working independently and fitting the culture of a start-up scaling up.
We are looking for a result-oriented commercial leader, capable of meeting ambitious growth KPIs with people development and managerial ambitions and skills. As market penetration grows, he/she will be responsible for building a team of talented sales professionals for the region (including account management, partner management, product specialists, etc.).

Areas of Responsibility

New Lead Generation, Sales & Account Management:
Generate new leads (customers & channel partners) for the targeted sectors and use cases
Qualify opportunities and perform opportunity screening
Write proposals and contract offering, with the support of VP’s team and senior executives
Negotiate contracts and close business
Act as account manager on existing customers and ensure contract execution
Be a lead individual contributor on revenue generation, carrying clear sales targets
Lead Business Development for the Region
Act as the lead evangelist of the company products, actively support the product’s exhibitions, making speeches and presentations at conferences, meetings, and events
Collect and share market feedback with the Product Management team
Identify innovative ways to grow business, impact, platforms, and partnerships
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients
Player-coach example setting of best practices in innovative and impactful growth across the team
Measure and analyze current revenue streams, offerings, and relationships to optimize our business growth and revenue strategy
Go-to-market strategy for selected Region
Co-design the company go-to-market strategy for the selected region
Develop and lead the company revenue generation and business development efforts for the region
Create strategic growth plans, business evolution, and financial roadmaps
Key thought-partner to CCO and sparring partner to the Product team (including developing vertical offerings)
Report sales performance
Understand Market Trends & Customers
Have a deep understanding of customer needs
Be an expert in specific industries (e.g. FMCG, Pharma, Toy, Manufacturing)
Act as transformation advisor to customers in the fields of Digital Transformation, Web3/NFT, Brand Protection, Counterfeit Prevention solutions, etc.
Team Inspiration + Leadership
Lead, inspire, and develop the sales & business development teams for the selected region
Set and ensure achievement of goals and highest standard of performance
