VideoDraft AI is on a mission to streamline video production from concept to completion, harnessing cutting-edge AI to automate scripting, storyboarding, editing, and more. We’re building a product that empowers creators, agencies, and brands to produce high-quality video content at scale — faster, smarter, and more creatively than ever before.

Why This Role Matters

As our Founding Full Stack Engineer (employee #1), you’ll build the foundations of VideoDraft AI alongside the founding team. You won’t just write code — you’ll help shape the vision, make key technical decisions, and build a team of A-players. You’ll take full ownership of features end-to-end, and your impact will be felt from day one.

What You’ll Do

• Own Features: Design, build, deploy, and maintain our core web application using Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate & Strategize: Work closely with the founders on product direction, architecture, and technical strategy.
• Move Fast: Iterate quickly in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, shipping early and often.
• Leverage the Cloud: Help optimize and maintain our cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar), ensuring scalability and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• Startup DNA: You’ve owned projects from concept to launch in a dynamic environment.
• Full Stack Expertise: Proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, CSS, APIs, and databases.
• Cloud Experience: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms, including basic DevOps best practices.
• Ownership Mentality: You don’t wait for permission — you spot problems, solve them, and own the outcome.
• Bias for Action: Comfortable working in sprints and iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Customer Focus: You care about end-user experiences and gather feedback to continuously improve.
• Team Player: No ego — Company > Team > Self.

• Ex-Founder or Founding Engineer: Experience building products 0→1 and scaling fast.
• AI/ML Enthusiasm: Familiarity with AI/ML technologies or video processing.
