Why This Role Matters

As our Founding Product Designer, you’ll do more than push pixels — you’ll define how creators interact with the future of AI-powered video production. You’ll craft intuitive, high-impact experiences that make complex workflows feel simple and empowering. Working closely with the founding team, you’ll influence product strategy, own design end-to-end, and help build a category-defining company from the ground up. We’re looking for a strong design generalist who can think in systems, speak to users, and move fast — someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants to ship meaningful work every week.

What You’ll Do

• Design Core Experiences: Lead the UX and UI for our core app — storyboarding, scripting, editing, and more.
• Prototype & Iterate: Rapidly test ideas using tools like Figma, Framer, and V0.dev to explore, validate, and refine user flows.
• Drive User Research: Plan and conduct research sessions with creators to understand pain points, test prototypes, and inform product decisions.
• Build a Design System: Establish a scalable, consistent design language across the product.
• Collaborate Closely: Work directly with the founders and engineers to define product direction, ship quickly, and iterate based on feedback.
• Design for AI Workflows: Create intuitive interactions that blend generative AI with creative control, making smart tools feel human and helpful.

What We’re Looking For

• Startup or Founder Experience: 1+ years at an early-stage startup or as an independent builder — you’re comfortable with chaos, speed, and owning outcomes.
• Full-Stack Design Skills: Strength across UX (flows, structure), UI (visual polish, interactions), and systems (design patterns, scalability).
• User Research Fluency: Experience conducting interviews, usability testing, and gathering actionable insights from real users.
• Strong Portfolio: A thoughtful body of work showing how you turn user problems into elegant, real-world design solutions.
• AI Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with modern AI design tools like V0.dev, Diagram, Galileo, Framer AI, or similar — you understand how AI is changing the design/development interface.
• Technical Empathy: You collaborate well with engineers and understand technical constraints (bonus: basic HTML/CSS/React familiarity).
• Bias for Action: You ship fast, seek feedback early, and constantly push toward improvement.
• User Obsession: You deeply care about the end user and advocate for creators in every product decision.

Bonus Points

• Motion or Video Design: Experience with After Effects, Remotion, or prototyping animations to enhance video-first UX.
• Marketing/Brand Design: Ability to contribute to or lead visual branding and landing page design.
• Strategic Product Thinking: You go beyond surface-level design and think holistically about product value and user behavior.
• Creator Economy Savvy: You’ve worked with or designed for creators, video editors, or storytellers.
