What will you accomplish?

As a Software Engineer, you'll participate in the development of all aspects of the Vidrovr solutions, including our distributed media processing pipelines, user-facing application, APIs, and auxiliary services. You’ll work with databases, write positively poetic Python, and develop infrastructure in both cloud and bare metal environments. You’ll acquire a deep understanding of the Vidrovr platform, and use that understanding to work with sales and product leadership teams to comprehend and elegantly solve customer needs. You will participate with the rest of the engineering team in code-review, system design and specification, and product ideation.

What do we need from you?

• Participate in the development of any components of the Vidrovr platform, including the media processing pipeline, user interfaces, and auxiliary services
• Deliver elegant production code for Vidrovr’s backend infrastructure using a modern Python stack
• Collaborate with designers and the business development team to deliver frontend applications and components
• Participate in code review and proactively maintain Vidrovr’s production code and software infrastructure
• Work closely with business development and product design teams to ensure that the technical design and aspects of the system meet business and product needs.
• Launch and test software in multiple cloud and bare-metal environments
• Contribute to the fast-paced exchange of ideas and development of new products by actively participating in our open discussions

What will give you an edge?

• B.A, B.S or above in computer science, data science, or a related technical field, or relevant experience
• 2+ years of writing thoughtful, efficient, and maintainable code in industry
• Proficiency in Python recommended
  • Strength in other backend languages will still be considered
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue, and experience with unidirectional state management.
• Good version control reflexes
