Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer Location: Remote About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with exceptional skills in AWS, Python, and system optimization to join our innovative team at ViralMoment. In this critical role, you will tackle challenges related to search engine optimization, cache optimization, and pipeline optimization to significantly enhance the performance of our AI-driven platform. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will have the autonomy to lead optimizations and influence the core architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities: Implement and optimize backend processes using Python, focusing on performance enhancements across our AWS-hosted infrastructure. Apply your expertise in AWS to improve and scale our cloud-based solutions efficiently. Lead initiatives to optimize our internal search mechanisms, caching strategies, and data processing pipelines to enhance system performance and user experience. Own large-scale projects from conception to deployment, demonstrating strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Collaborate closely with other team members, including front-end engineers and data scientists, to ensure seamless integration and efficiency across all parts of the system. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, focusing on system optimization and backend development. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms. Strong Familiarity with Elasticache, ElasticSearch, Airflow, EKS, ECS Proven track record in optimizing search engines, caching mechanisms, and complex data pipelines. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and comprehensive knowledge of cloud services. Ability to work independently as a seasoned professional, adept at navigating complex technical challenges without significant oversight. Exceptional problem-solving skills, dedicated to producing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
