Description

The Vice President of Federal Programs will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of all federal programs, specifically rotor wing platforms with the United States Air Force and US Army. This position requires a deep understanding of federal contracting, compliance, and program management. The VP of Federal Programs will work closely with senior leadership and the Government Relations team to align federal program activities and strategies with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development within the Aerospace and Defense sectors, and the ability to lead and coordinate a dynamic team across a wide geographical area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create new business opportunities while expanding the Vita Inclinata brand awareness in federal market segment related to current company product offerings.
  • Primary objective is to promote the Vita Inclinata test equipment portfolio to the Aerospace and Defense helicopter market space
  • Design and manage a deployment plan for UH-60 and UH-72 platforms with the US military.
  • Effectively demonstrate and communicate how all Vita Inclinata products can best solve the customer's core mission problem
  • Drive the development and submission of white papers and RFI responses to proactively shape strategic opportunities.
  • Work closely with the other members of the business development and government relations team; sharing information and developing a complete understanding of federal Defense and Aerospace markets.
  • Network and grow Vita Inclinata market share – by developing and managing sales funnel/forecast as part of the sales process
  • Provide input and feedback and implement growth activities in close alignment with the worldwide Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, R&D, and Service organizations
  • Develop a business plan that outlines how Vita Inclinata products can address business trends in this market segment
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to bring best-in-class solutions to the customer and maximize win probability.
  • Participate in tradeshows and customer visits to network and articulate current and emerging customer needs

Travel: Up to 30%, Domestic and International

Subject to applicable laws and Vita Inclinata’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Vita Inclinatas’ employment practices and policies.

Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university and 10+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Proven experience with rotor wing platforms and working with the United States Air Force and US Army.

· Extensive experience in federal contracting and compliance.

· Demonstrated success in business development and strategic planning.

Skills

· Excellent time management skills to oversee multiple projects and programs simultaneously.

· In-depth understanding of federal program management, including budgeting, scheduling, and performance tracking.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions.

· Strong understanding of ethical standards and compliance requirements in federal contracting.

· Ability to be a team-player with a professional attitude working with senior leadership and Government Relations teams.

Compensation

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $175,000 to $300,000 per year, however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
