Description

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Vita Inclinata’s information technology operations, including maintaining computer systems, implementing new technology upgrades, ensuring network security, and aligning IT strategy with overall business goals, effectively acting as the bridge between technology and business needs. This position requires both tactical expertise helping internal users with technical issues related to software, hardware and networks; and strategic expertise analyzing IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues with software, hardware, or networks. Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions to minimize system downtime.
  • User Support & Technical assistance: Provide technical support to employees, addressing their IT related issues and concerns via phone, email, or chat.
  • System Maintenance: Update, configure, and maintain Vita OS systems and networks such as NetSuite ERP, SharePoint, SalesForce, SolidWorks, etc.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the company's network infrastructure, servers, hardware, software, and data storage systems, ensuring their optimal performance and stability.
  • IT Security Implementation: Implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access.
  • Software installation, updates and patches: Install and configure software for users and roll out updates and patches to systems.
  • User Access: Manage user access permissions and credentials, including new hire onboarding and employee offboarding.
  • Training & Documentation: Train staff in new software, systems, and best practices and provide documentation for internal customer support inquiries and resolutions.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluating and managing relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service quality.

Strategic Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • System Integrations: Support efforts to integrate disconnected business systems such as MuleSoft, PDM systems, SalesForce, ERP, PLM, Power BI and other critical business systems across current and future business divisions.
  • IT Project Management: Overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, including system upgrades, network migrations, and application implementations.
  • Technology Planning: Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies to recommend strategic IT investments aligned with business needs.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Regular scheduled attendance M-F
  • Time spent traveling 15%

Subject to applicable laws and Vita Inclinata’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Vita Inclinatas’ employment practices and policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities; however, as Vita Inclinata grows it is expected that additional IT professionals will be hired and managed by this position. In this future state, the IT Manager carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in IT, with hands-on experience performing the essential functions and responsibilities outlined above

Skills and Competencies

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems, security protocols, cloud computing, and various software applications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on technical insights.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business goals and aligning IT strategies to support organizational objectives.

Compensation

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $95,000 – $125,000 per year, however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
