What We Do

Wagmo is a pet healthcare benefits provider unlocking every pet parent’s potential to provide extraordinary care. Offered through the workplace, Wagmo’s combination of wellness, insurance, and televet plans make everyday care and emergency support simple and stress-free, so pets get the care they deserve and pet parents feel confident every step of the way.

What’s Important To Us

We solve hard problems all day long but hang out with dogs while we do it. We value authenticity and efficiency and have no time for egos. We prioritize performance over pedigree, compensate fairly, and never take ourselves too seriously.

Our values are core to who we are and how we operate. We talk about them all the time. These are not just things posted on a wall. We will interview for them, hold each other accountable to them, and make sure we work with every single person we interact with in a way that's consistent with these values.

About The Role

As the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will be the primary leader responsible for owning, managing, and growing Wagmo’s most strategic, high-impact partnerships. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to maximize Wagmo’s presence within partner ecosystems, drive revenue growth, and ensure long-term success.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and customer success to optimize performance, scale activation, and build a repeatable model for strategic partnership success.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in NYC; candidates must be willing and able to work in-office three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Partnership Strategy

  • Build and implement comprehensive partnership strategies that drive enrollment, retention, and engagement across key enterprise and platform partners.

  • Establish success metrics, accountability frameworks, and joint business plans that align Wagmo’s goals with partner objectives.

Drive Revenue Growth

  • Set and achieve revenue and adoption targets through partner channels, leveraging co-marketing, sales enablement, and employer outreach.

  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and expand into new verticals, products, or partner segments.

Strengthen Partner Relationships

  • Cultivate executive and operational relationships with partner stakeholders to ensure Wagmo is prioritized within their ecosystem.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior partner leadership, providing visibility into performance, opportunities, and challenges.

Enable Partner Sales & Marketing Alignment

  • Work closely with internal sales and marketing teams to develop campaigns, assets, and training tailored to partner audiences.

  • Equip partner sales representatives and account managers with the tools and messaging they need to effectively sell and support Wagmo.

Lead Partner Operations

  • Oversee seamless execution of partner-driven enrollments, employer onboarding, and support processes.

  • Ensure all operational workflows between Wagmo and its partners are scalable and optimized for efficiency and accuracy.

Monitor and Optimize Performance

  • Track and analyze key metrics to evaluate partnership health, conversion, retention, and revenue performance.

  • Continuously refine playbooks and processes to improve outcomes and create a best-in-class partner experience.

Identify and Pursue Growth Opportunities

  • Evaluate and prioritize new partnership opportunities that align with Wagmo’s strategic objectives.

  • Partner with product and marketing teams to explore deeper integrations, co-branded initiatives, and value-added offerings.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • Strategic Partnership Experience: 5–8 years of experience managing and scaling strategic partnerships, enterprise accounts, or channel programs, ideally within benefits, HR tech, insurance, or SaaS environments.

  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with partner stakeholders across business, marketing, and operations teams.

  • Growth Mindset: Demonstrated success driving measurable growth through partner-led revenue, adoption, or engagement initiatives.

  • Operational Know-How: Experience building and improving the systems, tools, and processes that make partnerships run efficiently at scale.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at working with sales, marketing, product, and customer success to align on goals and deliver seamless partner experiences.

  • Analytical Approach: Comfortable using data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.

  • Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain alignment internally and externally.

  • Hands-On Operator: Thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment, and willing to roll up your sleeves and execute while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
