LLMs lack true understanding of the 4D physical world, relying on auto-regressive token prediction rather than reasoning, planning, or navigating in space-time (texts are merely a projection of the 4D world into a 1D sequence of tokens).
At Waldek Technologies, we're building the foundation for 4D spatio-temporal intelligence in order for robots and AI agents to analyze, plan, act, and collaborate in the real world for a wide variety of tasks.
Robust 4D intelligence requires a completely new, unified model architecture due to the rigorous demands in the real world. 4D intelligence is going to be the foundation of any Physical AI that needs to work autonomously from, or collaboratively with, humans. It involves massive data collection, high-fidelity world models, and Real-to-Sim-to-Real training and deployment loop.
We're looking for passionate 3D/4D AI Research Engineers (Contract/Part-Time) to advance our R&D on spatial intelligence. This is an ideal opportunity for postdocs or PhD/Masters students who are already working in any of the fields of:
- Radiance fields (eg. 3DGS)
- LiDAR/SLAM or SfM
- VLM/VLA
- World models
- Autonomous robots/drones
Responsibilities
- Do literature reviews in the relevant field(s)
- Create reproducible methods (eg. Docker containers) to build and run open-source codebases
- Train and run models on our cloud GPU servers (NVIDIA A100, A10, L4, etc)
