About The Role
We are seeking a Founding ML/AI Engineer who is passionate about leveraging AI to revolutionize marketing compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with the founder and engineering team to define our technical strategy, build innovative solutions, and establish a strong engineering culture.
This role is perfect for someone with startup ambition, a desire to build a category-defining product, and the expertise to create scalable AI/ML systems from scratch. Over time, this position has the potential to evolve into a Head of AI/ML role.

Our current stack includes Python, Django, AWS, OpenAI, Langchain, and Digital Ocean. As our first ML/AI Engineer, you’ll have the flexibility to shape the stack and make decisions about model deployment infrastructure.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop AI/ML systems that power Warrant’s core platform, enabling automated compliance workflows, intelligent risk flagging, and real-time insights.
- Build, deploy, and optimize models, such as large language models (LLMs), for production use.
- Collaborate with the CEO to align technical goals with business objectives and prioritize the product roadmap.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that integrate with third-party tools (e.g., Slack, Chrome).
- Implement model observability, evaluations, and optimization for real-world applications.
- Stay ahead of the latest advancements in AI/ML to integrate cutting-edge technologies into the platform.
- Mentor future engineering hires and contribute to building a high-performing technical team.

Must-Haves
Who We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with hands-on expertise in deploying production models.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in frameworks like Django
- Proven ability to take AI/ML systems from 0 to 1 in a startup or in side projects/academic environments
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Digital Ocean) and scalable infrastructure.
- Familiarity with LLMs, including model training, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
- A passion for solving customer problems with innovative AI solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with little direction.
- Experience building AI systems for regulated industries like financial services or healthcare.
- Familiarity with tools for model observability, drift detection, and explainability.
- Experience integrating AI/ML systems into third-party platforms (e.g., Slack, Chrome extensions).
- Background as a founder or founding engineer in a startup.
