Chief of Staff Intern

Durham, NC // In-office 5 days/week $20/hour

Your MBA teaches frameworks. This teaches you what actually happens.

Case studies are written about companies after they win. This is your chance to be inside one while it's being built. Every decision, every pivot, every late night that changes the roadmap. Not from an observer seat. From the arena.

Warrant is the first AI agent for marketing compliance. We're backed by Brickyard, Capitalize VC, Techstars, and Vast Ventures, alongside operators from Brex, Slope, and Mercury. If you want to start a company one day, this is the cheat code.

What You're Walking Into

The CEO needs a second brain. Someone who can context-switch between product design at 9am, event logistics at noon, competitive research at 3pm, and a customer call at 5pm.

This is not a 9 to 5 internship. We're in the office five days a week and routinely put in 10+ hour days. If you want a summer line item on your LinkedIn, this isn't it. If you want to know whether you're actually cut out to start something, keep reading.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Building ops. Meeting cadences, project tracking, dashboards, cross-functional coordination. You're learning how to be the operating system of a company.

Planning events. Money20/20, ITC, FINRA, Techstars events, founder dinners. You own the logistics, the strategy, and the follow-up.

Driving strategic projects. Market research, competitive analysis, pricing experiments, partnership development, new vertical exploration. Too cross-functional for any single team. Those are yours.

Shaping product. Working directly with the CEO and engineering on product design, feature prioritization, and roadmap decisions. In the room, with a voice.

Whatever needs to happen. The most important work at a startup is the work nobody planned for.

Who We're Looking For

You're going to start a company one day. You picked your MBA to build the foundation. Now you want the real thing.

You've already built something. A side project, a student org, a failed startup. You know what it feels like to figure it out without instructions.

You're drawn to the intersection of law and business. Maybe you considered law school or worked in compliance or financial services before your MBA. You don't need a JD, but curiosity about how regulated companies operate will make you dangerous here.

You write clearly, think fast, and don't wait to be told what to do. You also use AI whenever you can.

Bonus if you have a fundamental understanding of software/product architecture.

What You Get

$20/hour, five days a week alongside the founding team. Exposure to every function: sales, product, ops, marketing, partnerships, events, investor relations. Direct access to the CEO every single day. The real answer to "do I actually want to start a company?"
