Kisoboka Africa exists to create economic opportunities for women and youth in rural Uganda for sustainable livelihoods

Kisoboka Africa addresses challenges of youth unemployment , limited access to finances for investment among women , and limited skills that women and youth can utilise to start businesses and acquire employment. We also adress challenges of limited financial literacy among children in skills.

We address the above challenges by building skills among women and youth to enable them start and run successful businesses. We carry out business skills trainings, design thinking sessions and hands on skills among our beneficiaries.

We also organise women and youth into savings and lending groups to enable them access micro finance services for investment in businesses.

We also teach financial literacy to our beneficiaries.

In addition , we provide startup capital to some of our beneficiaries to enable them run their own businesses.

Role (Volunteer): Resource Mobilisation Associate

Role Description: Support in identifying potential funders , initiate conversations and predispose our work interest them in our work for funding. Support in writing and reviewing grant applications for submission to potential funders.

Time Commitment: Volunteer 4-6 hours per week for 6+ months remotely 💻
