Protectores de la Tierra ends food insecurity in Colombia’s Black and Indigenous communities by blending ancestral and modern farming practices to create sustainable livelihoods for the next generation.

Protectores de la Tierra addresses deeply interconnected social, cultural, and environmental challenges facing Afro-descendant and Indigenous communities in Nuquí, Chocó, Colombia—while offering a scalable, globally relevant model for regenerative development and food justice.

Role (Volunteer): Website & Digital Storytelling Volunteer.

Role Description: We’re building a free Canva website to share our story, invite volunteers and visitors, and showcase our upcoming products and projects — and we need your creative energy to bring it to life!

As our Website & Digital Storytelling Volunteer, you’ll:

• Design and publish a visually engaging website using our Canva for non-profits account.
• Create dedicated pages for Agrotourism, Viche, Volunteer Opportunities, Donation page, and our Origin Story and Impact
• Organize and curate photos, graphics, and testimonials from the field
• Support basic SEO, accessibility, and mobile optimization
• Optionally, help write or translate text into Spanish/English
• Optionally, support our social media storytelling

🌱 You Are:

• A creative and collaborative designer with an eye for clean, joyful, and mission-aligned visuals
• Experienced with Canva sites or similar tools (Wix, Squarespace, Carrd, Webflow, etc.)
• Passionate about environmental justice, food sovereignty, or Afro-Indigenous movements
• Able to work independently and communicate across time zones

✨ Bonus If You:

• Are familiar with storytelling for nonprofits or grassroots movements
• Speak both Spanish and English
• Have traveled or worked in rural or remote communities
• Know basic video editing or content strategy

Time Commitment: Volunteer 2-3 hours per week for 1-2 months remotely 💻
