Volunteer with Foundation First

Role (Volunteer): Web Developer & Designer.

Role Description: The responsibilities include:

1. Website Audit and Needs Assessment: Review the current Foundation First website to identify gaps in design, structure, usability, and content. Provide recommendations aligned with nonprofit best practices and donor expectations.
2. Website Redesign and Development: Create a new website layout and design that is modern, professional, and visually aligned with Foundation First’s mission and branding. Ensure the website is responsive (mobile and tablet-friendly) and accessible to diverse users.
3. Content Structure and Optimization: Organize content to clearly highlight Foundation First’s impact areas, programs, and success stories. Support content updates, including integrating visuals (photos, videos, infographics) to enhance storytelling.
4. Donor and Partner Appeal: Design web sections or features tailored to prospective donors and partners, such as a “Get Involved” page, donation functionality, or impact metrics display.
5. SEO and Performance Optimization: Ensure the website is optimized for search engines and loads efficiently. Implement basic SEO strategies and recommend tools for tracking performance.
6. Integration and Functionality: Integrate necessary tools such as contact forms, email signups, donation platforms, and social media links. Ensure the website is easy to maintain and update post-completion.
7. Training and Handover: Provide documentation or a brief virtual training to Foundation First staff on how to update and manage the new website. Recommend maintenance tools or plugins to ensure long-term functionality.

Time Commitment: Volunteer 2-3 hours per week for 1-2 months remotely 💻
