Farmlens Limited provides smallholder farmers with GIS-driven crop suitability mapping and crop database intelligence to optimize yields and build a predictable food system.

In the fight for Zero Hunger (SDG 2), the biggest obstacle for smallholder farmers is often "information poverty." Without precise data, farmers rely on guesswork to decide what to plant, leading to poor crop-to-land compatibility, wasted water, and soil degradation. This subsistence uncertainty makes it nearly impossible for rural communities to build climate-resilient livelihoods or survive the unpredictable shifts of a changing environment.

FarmLens eliminates this guesswork through an integrated intelligence platform that merges high-resolution spatial data with deep botanical insights. Our GIS engine creates a multi-layered "digital twin" of a farm—analyzing topography, soil pH, and micro-climates—while our proprietary Global Crop Database cross-references these factors against the biological thresholds of hundreds of crop varieties. By identifying the perfect match between land and seed, we help farmers reduce input waste by up to 30% and de-risk the entire planting cycle. This technical certainty allows smallholders to transition from traditional subsistence to high-yield, data-driven commercial enterprises that are built to thrive in any climate.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Marketing & Strategic growth Lead

Role Description: We are looking for a high-energy storyteller and growth hacker to help Farmlens bridge the gap between our technical platform and the stakeholders who need it most. As our Growth Lead, you will be responsible for crafting the narrative that brings precision agriculture to the last mile.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Storytelling: Develop tailored pitch decks and communication materials for VCs, grant funders, and impact investors to showcase our potential.
  • B2B Partnership Outreach: Identify and initiate relationships with agricultural cooperatives, NGOs, and government bodies to integrate Farmlens into existing farmer support networks.
  • Field Marketing Strategy: Design localized marketing campaigns (digital) to onboard smallholder farmers, ensuring our AI chatbot ,GIS and crop system are understood and trusted.
  • User Growth: Track and optimize the onboarding funnel for new farmers, ensuring we move from current users to thousands across the region.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to translate complex data into simple, persuasive narratives.
  • Strategic Writing: Experience drafting grant applications, marketing releases, or investor updates.
  • Promotion & sales: A background in community organizing or B2B ,B2C sales so as to convince farmers and agricultural organizations to use our platform.
  • Marketing : Ability to market the company's products to relevant stakeholders.

Time Commitment: Volunteer 7-9 hours per week for 3-5 months remotely 💻
