CoachActivism provides high-quality, pro-bono coaching to humanitarian workers and volunteers.

We are a group of committed professionals with a dedication to offering mental health coaching and leadership support to organisations and individuals in the humanitarian sphere.

Our coaches work with our clients on their unique personal and/or team challenges, individuals receive up to 6 hours of free coaching, from a professional, certified coach. Our coaches will support our clients as they navigate challenges in the area of burnout reduction, self-care, stress and time-management, building resilience and more effective team communication.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Website & Application Optimization Support (Wix)

Role Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help improve our website’s usability, consistency, and application processes. This role focuses on refining our existing site built on Wix, enhancing user experience, and streamlining how application data is collected and tracked.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Audit & Cleanup

• Review the current website for inconsistencies in layout, formatting, and content
• Identify and fix broken links, outdated information, and design misalignments
• Standardise fonts, spacing, and overall visual consistency

2. Page Redesign

• Redesign the “Steering Committee” page for clarity and visual appeal
• Improve structure, readability, and presentation of content

3. User Experience Improvements

• Simplify navigation and page flow
• Make application forms easier to find and complete
• Improve overall accessibility and usability

4. Forms & Data Integration

• Review and optimize existing application forms
• Connect forms to new and existing Google Sheets for tracking
• Ensure consistent data structure and reliable submission tracking
• Test forms end-to-end to confirm proper functionality

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Experience working with Wix
• Strong attention to detail in design and content formatting
• Familiarity with Google Sheets and basic data organization
• Understanding of user experience (UX) principles

Nice to Have:

• Experience with form automation or integrations (e.g., Wix Forms, Zapier)
• Basic knowledge of web design or front-end development

Time Commitment

• Estimated total: 15–30 hours
• Flexible schedule over 2–6 weeks
• Brief weekly check-ins (15–30 minutes)
