Volunteer for a startup making low-carbon, flight-free tourism the new normal! 🚂🌿

Ecosy Travel helps travellers and accommodations plan, share, and transparently report low‑carbon, flight‑free holidays to reduce the environmental impact of global tourism.

The travel and tourism industry remains a major driver of global carbon emissions, yet travelers who want to minimize their footprint face widespread greenwashing and a lack of verified sustainability data. At the same time, hospitality businesses face mounting regulatory pressures to prove their environmental claims, but lack accessible software tools to automatically audit and share their climate credentials. Additionally, eco-conscious tourists often lack dedicated spaces to build community, meet like-minded travelers, or participate in meaningful local conservation efforts while at their destinations, leaving a gap for truly impactful, low-carbon travel experiences.

Ecosy Travel bridges this gap by pairing B2B climate verification technology with community-driven, low-carbon travel experiences. For accommodation providers, Ecosy Travel delivers transparent carbon-labelling software that automates data verification, ensures compliance with anti-greenwashing regulations, and builds green trust with guests. To directly empower travelers, the platform curates in-destination events and flight-free itineraries—combining activities like wild swimming and walking tours with hands-on environmental actions like citizen science and vegetation management in partnership with local wildlife reserves. By uniting verifiable climate data for businesses with immersive local impact for travelers, Ecosy Travel turns sustainable tourism into an accessible, transparent, and community-centered movement.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Community & events marketing coordinator | Eco-tours

Role Description: We're looking for a creative, organised, and values-driven volunteer to own our Instagram presence and event marketing. You'll be the voice of Earth Stewards Travel Club on social media, promoting our events to the right audiences, managing our event listings across platforms, and helping grow a community of eco-conscious travellers around the world.

What you'll do

Social media

  • Manage and grow the Earth Stewards Travel Club Instagram account
  • Create and schedule content in line with our content strategy and brand voice, including event promotion, environmental storytelling, partner spotlights, and community moments
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and grow our audience organically
  • Monitor performance and share simple monthly insights with the founder

Event promotion

  • Write and manage event listings on Eventbrite, Meetup and Viator
  • Identify and reach out to visitors to London directly, for example through related Instagram pages, travel-specific social media platforms such as Pangea, eco-travel forums, and Facebook community pages, to promote upcoming events
  • Assist with post-event content such as recaps, photos, attendee quotes to build social proof and drive future bookings

Community building

  • Help grow and engage our WhatsApp community
  • Help grow and engage our Instagram followers
  • Support the founder with any other marketing tasks as the organisation grows

Who we're looking for

  • Experience managing an Instagram account: personal, professional, or for another organisation
  • Good writing skills and an instinct for what resonates with an eco-conscious audience
  • Organised and self-directed: able to manage a content calendar and hit deadlines without close supervision
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, remote team

Desirable

  • Experience with Eventbrite, Meetup, or similar event platforms
  • Knowledge of Canva or basic graphic design tools
  • Familiarity with visitor-facing platforms or travel communities
